Burnley FC play their home games at Turf Moor in Burnley. Burnley was founded in 1882 they have won the league twice and the FA Cup once. They go by the nickname The Clarets which refers to their burgundy jerseys they play in.
Burnley is one of four clubs that have won all four divisions in The Football League. Their success began to come after the First World War when in the year 1920/21 they won the league after an impressive suite of 30 games without a loss. They have had the greatest success in the 1940s and 1950s, winning the league again in 1959/60 in fierce competition with Tottenham and Wolverhampton.
