Club Brugge KV is a professional football club from the city of Bruges in northwestern Belgium. The club was founded as early as 1891 and is one of Belgium's oldest football clubs. The club became the Belgian champion for the first time in 1920. However, it took 53 years until the next league victory in 1973, but since then the success has been great with a number of league victories and cup wins. Bruges has also played in the Champions League 1992/93, 2002/03, 2003/04 and 2005/06.
