CSKA Moscow is a football club from the city of Moscow in western Russia. The club was founded in 1911 and plays its home matches at VEB Arena. The club has achieved great success with a number of titles in both the Soviet and Russian leagues. The team won the UEFA Cup in the 2004/2005 season, following a final against Sporting Lisbon. CSKA Moscow then became the first Russian team with a European Cup title. The team's colors are red and blue and they bear the nickname Krasno-sinie (the red-blue ones).
