Dijon Football Côte d'Or is a football club from the city of Dijon in the east of France. The club was founded in 1998 through a merger of two local clubs, Cercle Sportif Laïque Dijonnais and Dijon FC. The home matches are played at Stade Gaston Gérard which has an audience capacity of 16,288 spectators. The club played for the first time in the country's highest league, Ligue 1, in the 2011–2012 season. The team with their red club color has been nicknamed Les hiboux (The Owls) which is seen in the club emblem adorned with an owl.
