The England national football team, known as the "Three Lions", is one of the most famous and traditional national teams in world football. The team is governed by The Football Association (FA) and plays its home games at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London. England have a rich history in football, with their greatest success coming in 1966 when they won the FIFA World Cup on home soil, led by captain Bobby Moore and manager Alf Ramsey.
