Huddersfield Town AFC was founded in 1908 and their home arena is John Smith's Stadium, also known as Kirklees Stadium, with room for about 24,000 spectators. The club plays its matches with the club colors blue and white and goes by the nickname The Terriers.
Huddersfield Town has not had much success in recent decades, but in the 1920s the club won the FA Cup in 1922 and three straight league titles, between 1923–1926. An important player during that era is the player Clem Stephenson, who together with later legends Peter Doherty and Denis Law, is considered one of the greatest players in the club's history.
