UC Sampdoria is a football club in Genoa, Italy, founded in 1946 by a merger of the two clubs Sampierdarense and Andrea Doria. The club shares the Stadio Luigi Ferraris stadium with Genoa.
The derby between Sampdoria and Genoa is called Il derby di Genova or Derby della Lanterna. The club has become Italian champion once, winning the Coppa Italia four times. UC Sampdoria's club colors are Blue, White, Red and Black.
