Trabzonspor is a professional football club from the city of Trabzon in the Northeast Turkey. The city is located on the Black Sea, and therefore the club has received the nickname Karadeniz firtinininsi (black sea storm). The club was founded in 1967 and plays its home games at Medical Park Stadyumu. The arena, which holds about 40,000 spectators, was inaugurated in 2016 and replaced the former arena Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium.
