In 1965, the football club FC Twente sees the light of day for the first time. The formation takes place after a merger of the clubs Sportclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys. The team comes from the city of Enschede which is located in the eastern parts of the Netherlands. The home matches are played at the arena "De Grolsch Veste" and have an audience capacity of just over 30,000. The club's main color is red and also adorns the team's match shirts during the home matches.
