Villareal CF plays its home matches at El Madrigal which takes in 25,000 spectators. The team with the all-yellow suits also has a nickname El Submarino amarillo (the yellow submarine). Villareal was founded in 1923. The successes have been long overdue and they still have no titles, their biggest success has been a semi-final in the Champions League 2005/06.
Many talented players have played there over the years but the ones who have made the biggest impression are without a doubt Riquelme and today Santi Cazorla. They are known for playing good football and usually make it for the bigger ones when they play at El Madrigal.
