Just outside Birmingham is the city of West Bromwich where the club West Bromwich Albion play their home matches. The club's arena The Hawthorns has been home to "The Baggies" since 1900 but has undergone several renovations over the years.
At the arena is a statue of Tony Brown who made a total of 574 matches for the club. Brown is considered one of the club's most important players along with Jeff Astle, who also received a memorial erected after him in the form of "The Jeff Astle Gate". Today, West Bromwich Albion plays in blue and white, but has previously had red as the main color in their home kits.
