Leinster Rugby, one of the four Irish provincial teams, which has a rich history dating back to when they were founded in 1879. The base of the club is in Dublin, and they represent the Irish province of Leinster, including clubs from both amateur and professional level.
Leinster Rugby has enjoyed success both domestically and at European level. They have won the Irish interprovincial competition, which is now part of the United Rugby Championship (URC), several times. The club has also established itself as one of the premier clubs in the European rugby scene, with four wins in the Heineken Champions Cup (2009, 2011, 2012, 2018), making them one of the most successful clubs in the tournament's history.
One of the key figures in Leinster's modern success is manager Joe Schmidt, who led the team to several of their Champions Cup victories before becoming manager of the Irish national team. Players such as Brian O'Driscoll, one of rugby's biggest stars, have also contributed to Leinster's reputation.
Leinster play their home games at the RDS Arena and Aviva Stadium, where they have a strong and loyal supporter base. The club is renowned for its strong academy and development of young talent, ensuring a continuous supply of skilled players for both Leinster and the Ireland national team.
